ALBERTA

ALBERTA PART FOUR

On a boat, disguised as a fishing boat, somewhere in the ocean. Alberta stood at the helm. "We are 359.4 meters to near the shore." The boat's only other occupant (the mechanical one) said. "Three minutes ago you told me I was to far from it." "Actually it was two minutes fifty seven seconds" Alberta's companion said.
Alberta replied "You may look like Mike but you stink of oil and hot plastic." Anticipating the reply. "Yes, yes, I realize that your 'skin' is made of some other type of artificial material not plastic."
Alberta hoped that Mike's plan to confuse his enemies by having a robot double take his place while he slipped back to the Robo Agency headquarters would work.
"Why don't you take the helm. Mike told me that you have an 'app' for that." Alberta said. She had already thrown the trackers over the side.
And so the mechanical marvel took the helm while Alberta catnapped on the deck. As the boat gently rocked she dreamed of the times she had sailed on the Catavenger. She sometimes wished that she had joined them as a permanent member.

A beeping sound woke her up The 'droid was beeping and it's eyes were flashing red. It charged at her her with a belaying pin. It didn't get far though because Alberta quickly grabbed her .45 and emptied the magazine into it until it was a smoking ruin.
Unfortunately Mike hadn't realized that the revamped androids, his enemies made, had a back-up system and he hadn't changed it, so Alberta could "trust it" after all.

Alberta looked up to see a boat speeding up along side of her boat.
It was crewed by robondroids. These were not covered with any artificial skin. They were hideous things, unlike Alberta covered as she was in beautiful feline fur.

Alberta picked up her customized Monitor pattern Browning Automatic Rifle. She would have been hesitant to use it except it was obvious that the beings were mechanical. Alberta inserted a magazine and cocked it before taking it off safe. sighting it on the boat she fired rapid bursts. Oil sprayed and springs and gears, gaskets and other parts flew from the androids.
Most of the humanoid robots were reduced to piles of smoking plastic, metal and mechanical rubble stinking of burning oil. Indeed the oil had caught their boat on fire. The fire was rapidly spreading. However out of the smoke and flames appeared a melting figure holding a rocket launcher "BOOM" it went along with the unused missiles and munitions on the boat. Unfortunatley the rocket wooshed and hit Alberta's boat just below the waterline. Her boat pitched over and she thrown off along with various pieces of nautical gear from the boat's deck.

Alberta flew off the side of the watercraft only to become entangled in rope and a net weighed down by something heavy.

Down, down, down . . . she went to the depths of the sea . . .
